  • Linda W. Williams Obituary

Linda Wilk Williams, age 76, of Medford, NJ passed on Christmas morning surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 4th, 1948, (St. Francis Day) in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph F and Anna L (Chojnacki) Wilk. She attended Nazareth Academy during which time she flew on C-47s with the Civil Air Patrol, one of the few students in the state chosen to do so. She attended Shippensburg University where she studied Education and got a degree in Mathematics. An ever-eloquent woman, her words were captured in the student newspaper which included an interview she conducted with Muhammed Ali. Her passion for learning was shared with hundreds of students as a high school math teacher in New Jersey, North Carolina, and even on base, as an Air Force spouse, in Bitburg, Germany. She was deeply involved with her students serving as the Varsity Cheerleading Coach and crafting clever learning tools such as the mnemonic phrase for her algebra students: “Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally” (Parenthesis, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction).

Following her success as a teacher, Lin transitioned to partner with her husband, Rob, to run a Primerica Financial Franchise for over 40 years. Lin was the key communicator, teacher, and organizer for their dedicated team of hundreds of field agents. Her influence was monumental, arranging large events including one at Lincoln Financial Field and even being asked by Primerica’s President to speak to 50,000 people at the SuperDome in New Orleans.

Lin kept busy outside of her career as she was very active in the Episcopal Community. She recently completed service as the warden of St. Bartholomew’s Church, where she was responsible for all of the church’s functions. With her dedication and strong support from her team they saw the church thrive. Lin maintained the tradition that, “if you’re at St. Bart’s, you are family!”

That sentiment rang true in every aspect of her life as family was of the utmost importance to her. She was a caring and attentive mother to her daughter, Alexa, nurturing her love for theatre by performing in shows together at a young age. Upon her marriage to the love of her life, Rob, she gained two more daughters, Delia and Jessica, and as a family of five they enjoyed many adventures and vacations. Her impact multiplied as she passed down her compassion and wisdom to many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna Wilk. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert G; her sister, Virginia (Duncan Campbell); her daughters, Alexa Hibbert (Paul Edelman), Delia (Williams), and Jessica (Williams); her grandchildren, Anna (Hibbert), Brielle, Brooke, and Brett (Lehmann), and Mila and Phillip (Pias); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Food for the Poor at https://foodforthepoor.org , a nonprofit organization in which Lin was an avid donor.

A service in her memory will take place on January 18th at St. Bartholomew’s Church

1989 NJ-70, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003, 10:00 AM Visitation, 11:00 AM Funeral Service with a reception immediately following where family and friends will speak on her memory.

Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania on a later date.
